Description
11/4/26 - This is a rare, early-style World War I Springfield Armory 1911 magazine in .45 ACP. The magazine displays the correct early features, including the base held in place by metal from the tube folded over the baseplate, a method used only during early production, along with brass reinforcement at the top and a lanyard loop on the base. The two-tone finish shows honest patina throughout from age, and there is a hand-scratched number on the side of the tube near the base. The spring is strong and functional. A rare, original WWI Springfield magazine for the early 1911 collector.
