Description
1/20/26 - This is a minty example of a rare Zero Series Spreewerk P.38 manufactured at the very end of WW2, in 1945. The gun is all matching and has the proper Zero Series proofs on the right side of the slide. This particular gun is especially rare because it has a rare "ac 44" FN-made slide. Only about 600 guns of this variation were ever produced. It is even rarer still, because it has a "Waffen 76" proofed Czech-made FNH barrel. There are East German markings on both sides of the frame that have been partially defaced, indicating it was likely issued to the East German police. The gun's finish rates about 93% with very minor wear around the muzzle, general high edge wear, and some thinning on the front strap. Fitted with blackish phenolic grips. It comes with a "Waffen 135" proofed Mauser magazine that was numbered post-war to match the gun, likely done at a police arsenal. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout. De-cocker is functional.
