Description
3/25/26 - This is a nice example of a Red 9 Mauser C96 issued to the Imperial German military during WW1. It is all matching (the floor plate has been re-numbered to match) with an Imperial military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide. We believe this one was reworked and issued to the Nazi police force, given its characteristics: the barrel has been shortened, the rear sight was milled, there is an "SS.I.1.122." unit marking on the front strap, and a "1920" government property marking on the slide. The gun has retained about 93-94% of its finish with general high edge wear (some minor pitting around the high edges as well) and some areas of light brown patina. The floor plate has been re-blued and shows pitting under the bluing. Fitted with original matching-numbered "Red 9" grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is light frosting throughout.
