Description
4/21/26 - This is an excellent example of a Red 9 Mauser C96 issued to the Imperial German military during WW1. It is all matching. We believe this one was reworked and issued to the Nazi police force, given its characteristics: the barrel has been shortened, the rear sight was milled, there is a "1920" government property marking on the left side of the slide, and there is a police unit marking on the front strap that reads "S. D. IV. 1. 34.". The gun has retained about 95% of its finish with minor high edge wear, muzzle wear, some small dots of oxidation along the left side of the barrel and slide, and a few tiny scratches here and there. Fitted with original matching-numbered "Red 9" grips. The bore has good rifling with very light frosting throughout.
