2/26/26 - This is a very nice example of a "Red 9" Mauser C96 issued to the Imperial German military during WW1. It is all matching and Imperial military proofed with a Prussian Eagle on the front of the frame. It comes as a rig with a matching-numbered wood stock (Imperial proofed), a 1918-dated leather harness, and an original cleaning rod. The gun itself has retained about 94% of its original finish with just general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and a few light marks and scratches here and there (most noticeable along the barrel). Fitted with original period-correct "Red 9" wood grips that are technically matching-numbered, but they appear to be over-stamped. Very nice bore with great rifling.
