SOLD - Remington 1903-A4 Sniper Rifle (3418607 - 21475)

Description

7/26/22 - This is an original 1943 production Remington 1903-A4 sniper rifle. The rifle is in great condition and consists of a mixture of both blued and parkerized parts. The stock is original and shows some typical use wear and aging, such as small surface indents, dings, mild surface scratches and imperfections throughout the wood. The left side of the wood above the trigger shows the original inspector cartouches. The rifle configuration appears all original except for perhaps the base plate and trigger guard, which have a very clean, excellent parkerized finish. The barrel date corresponds to the serial number on the receiver correctly. Many of the small parts are properly "R" stamped. Comes with a parkerized Redfield scope mount and a Weaver 330 scope. The scope has an electro-penciled serial number and clear optics. The reticle has some imperfections, but these are minor. The exterior of the scope shows some light surface patina but no rust or pitting. The bore is shiny and clean throughout, but there is some mild patina in and around the grooves closer to the muzzle. NOTE: There is a fairly large gouge out of the right side of the receiver, not sure the reason or cause of it. Shown in the last photo.
