Description
3/18/26 - This is a Remington Model 1888 Transitional Revolver aka the “New Model Pocket Army.” The only reference to this firearm was discovered in a rare catalog from Hartley & Graham in 1889. The revolver was offered in 44-40 WCF only and came with a 5.75-inch barrel. Less than 1,000 of these revolvers were made as no serial number above three digits has been found. This one has retained roughly half of its nickeled finish with spotty finish loss, patina, and minor pitting covering much of the gun. Fitted with nice smooth wood grips. The bore has decent rifling, but there is obvious pitting and oxidation throughout. Fully functional. No FFL required.
