Description
5/28/26 - This is a very nice example of a "VoPo" police luger, reworked by the East Germans after WW2. Originally made by DWM in 1916 and issued to the Imperial German Army during WWI. It is technically all-matching, but some of the parts have been re-numbered at an arsenal to match or crossed-out. Import mark on the barrel. It was also refinished at the arsenal with a dark, blackish finish. There is very little finish loss, but there is noticeable pin-pricking and freckling on the grip straps, areas of pin-pricking here and there, and some obvious pitting on the side plate. Fitted with the proper concentric circle VoPo grips. It comes as a rig with one matching police arsenal-numbered magazine, one mismatched police magazine, an un-marked tool, and a black pebble grain leather holster. The holster has a noticeably musty odor. Excellent bore with great rifling.
