Description
3/12/26 - This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson K38 Combat Masterpiece revolver manufactured in 1952. This S&W is all-matching with the barrel, cylinder, star extractor, crane, and grip panels all matching the frame. This revolver has retained roughly 96% of its original finish, with most wear existing as muzzle wear and hints of high-edge wear. There is also a thin turn line on the cylinder. This Combat Masterpiece is fitted with an adjustable rear sight, target-style ramp front sight, and has target-style serrations on the front strap, back strap, and trigger. The firearm is also fitted with serialized wood grip panels, that show no signs of cracks or chips. The bore in the 4" barrel has been well maintained. It has a bright, mirrored bore. Mechanically sound with proper lock-up and timing. Comes with a period-correct K38 Combat Masterpiece box, though the handwritten serial number on the back is faded so we cannot confirm that it is the original box for the gun.
