3/5/26- For sale is a Samson Werk sawback bayonet. Sawback bayonets are one of the iconic (and infamous) weapons of WWI, although their use in combat was far more propaganda than reality. The blade has wear and patina but no spots of rust. There is slight pitting/corrosion towards the base of the blade. The blade is marked "Samson Werk", the German manufacturer. The wood handle has light wear but no serious damage, chipping, or cracking. The scabbard is painted black and has some loss of paint and one small dent but no serious damage. Overall in good condition.
