Description
8/12/25 - This is a very nice example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Kriegsmarine in 1940. It is all matching, has the proper "Eagle 655" military acceptance proofs, and has an "N 4425" Navy property marking on the back strap. Only about 2,000 of this variation were ever made. It comes with a magazine that is Navy property marked but mismatched (only 3 digits away on the property mark!). It also comes as a rig with a scarce, 1939-dated, navy holster with a navy "Eagle M" marking (faint). The gun itself has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. There is general high edge and muzzle wear, but the majority of the finish loss is on the grip straps. Fitted with excellent "Eagle 655" proofed wood grips. The bore is has good rifling, but there is light freckling throughout.
