Description

8/17/22 - This is a scarce Nazi K98 with 'ax' maker code, indicating it was made in 1940 at the Erfurter Maschienfabrik (Erma) factory. This is a desirable code/date, and the rifle is nearly 100% correct. The bolt release lever is mismatched so it was replaced at some point. This rifle also featured a thick layer of lacquer when we received it, and we removed that lacquer so the stock is smoother than most to the touch now. Otherwise, all numbered parts on the rifle match. This includes the stock, full bolt assembly, trigger assembly, rear sight assembly and more. The bluing is also original on the metal parts throughout, with most of the wear on the trigger group. Comes with an original leather sling. Minty bore.
