9/23/26 - This is a very nice example of a scarce AC 44 Walther P.38, with frame produced at the FN factory as evidenced by the "Eagle 140" proof. Krutzek's P.38 book estimates that only 7,300 frames were produced and used by FN on World War II original pistols. This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" proofs throughout. It has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. Nearly all of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is also very minor high edge and muzzle wear. The frame has a very nice plum-colored tint to it. Fitted with reddish particle grips and comes with a proper "Eagle 359" marked Walther magazine. The bore has great rifling with just minor frosting throughout. De-cocker is functional.
