Description
3/11/26 - This is a scarce AC 45 Walther P.38 issued to the German military in 1945. Scarce capital "A" suffix on the frame and locking block. Only about 5,000 guns feature this oddity. It is believed that, for a short period of time in 1945, the lowercase "a" dye was broken or unavailable, so the Walther factory was forced to use the capital "A". This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout. It has the proper late-war features, such as rough machining marks, a cog-style hammer, and some phosphate-finished small parts. The finish rates about 92% with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, some spotty wear on the barrel, thinning on the front strap, and light surface scratches along the right side of the slide. Fitted with excellent reddish phenolic grips and comes with one "Eagle 359" Walther magazine. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling. De-cocker is functional.
