Description
3/13/26 - This is a very nice example of a fairly rare Astra Model 900 from 1941. The Astra 900 was a pistol developed to take advantage of a large Chinese demand for semiauto pistols with shoulder stocks, following the massive sales of the Mauser C96 in that country. There was a loophole in the international treaty accords that stocked pistols were not considered military arms, so civil war in China had a huge market for arms that this variant was able to meet. There were only ~21,000 of these pistols produced. Large ring hammer and 1000 meter tangent sight. This one is matching and has retained about 90% of its original finish. The majority of the wear is concentrated along the side rails of the slide. A few surface scratches here and there. Excellent bore with strong rifling. Fitted with excellent matching-numbered grips. It comes with a period-correct wood stock that is numbered on the inside but not matching to the gun.
