Description
3/3/23 - This is a scarce and interesting Colt 1911 from World War I era with X-prefix serial number. These guns are reported to have been examples whose serial number was rendered illegible. They were arsenal refinished in the 1920s at the Springfield Armory and given a new serial number with X-prefix so that they wouldn't be duplicates. The parkerized finish on this one is excellent, just a hint of high edge wear. As you might expect, it now has a Springfield barrel with minty bore. Postwar magazine and later plastic grips.Specifications
