Description
10/14/26 - For sale is a Colt Model 1855 Revolving Shotgun made in 1857, chambered in .60 caliber (20 gauge). The metal finish is worn away and the surface has been cleaned. There are some areas of shallow surface pitting on the receiver and some darkened oxidation spots on the barrel. There is a braze weld repair on the top of the frame, above the front of the cylinder, and another repair on the lower tang. The stock and forend are in great shape but lightly sanded. The bore shows old surface rust and oxidation with some brightness shining through. A scarce, 1857-made Colt revolving shotgun for the early Colt collector.
