Description
6/29/26 - Between 1926 and May of 1940, nearly 60,000 FN Browning M1922 pistols were shipped to the Netherlands and designated Pistool M25 No.2 by the Koninklijke Landmacht. These pistols feature a large Crown/W proof on the top of the slide for Queen Wilhelmina. While 60,000 would suggest a somewhat common pistol, the survival rate on these is relatively low as we only receive one or two per year. This one is all matching and is even rarer because it comes with an original matching-numbered magazine. It is all matching with a "Crown S" marking at the back of the frame. It has retained about 94-95% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is around the muzzle, and there are a few small spots of oxidation and pitting around the muzzle and on the slide. Fitted with black bakelite grips. The bore has great rifling with just very light frosting throughout.
