Scarce, Early Mauser Borsigwalde K98k - Luftwaffe Issued

7/18/25 - For sale is a K98k made by Mauser Borsigwalde Berlin in 1938. The rifle is in great shape with the metal retaining a nice high polish bluing. There are freckling patches of oxidation but no pitting on the receiver. The front barrel band and barrel shows finish loss with light prickling of pitting. The stock is in excellent shape without any cracks or breaks. The finish shows minor handling and surface wear. The right side of the stock, below the takedown disk, is stamped with the Eagle/L and two Eagle WaA26 Waffenamts. The wrist also has a Waffenamt stamp. The bore rates an 8/10 with it retaining a nice bright finish and sharp rifling, but there looks like thin streaks of oxidation visible. Comes iwth a war time sling. The rifle is missing its cleaning rod, but has matching numbers throughout.
