Description
6/16/26 - This is an early Mauser M1910 that is referred to as the 'sidelatch' variant, due to the obvious design feature on left side of the frame. There were only about 15,000 of this variation produced, and this example is in the proper serial range. It is all matching and "Double Crown U" proofed. "Germany" export marking on the right side of the slide, indicating it was sold in the international commercial market, likely the US. There is obvious general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and noticeable finish loss on the front strap. The name "RM Smith" is scratched onto the right side of the frame. Much of the fire-bluing on the trigger remains. Fitted with a period-correct wood grip (some minor rounding) and comes with one nickeled magazine. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
