Description

4/3/23 - This is a scarce Kriegsmodell issued to the Nazi military at the end of the war. The Kriegsmodell variant of K98s was used to expedite production as features were simplified. Characterized by no slot for a cleaning rod, screwed in barrel bands, and no stock disc. It is all matching and correct, with a Waffen proof on the right side of butt stock. While there’s very little actual finish loss, there is noticeable brown patina under the finish throughout. Spotty oxidation on buttplate, and a few small spots of discoloration on the receiver. The color of the rear barrel band does not match the rest of the gun. Excellent wood stock, with no major damage and only minor signs of wear. Bore is like new.
