Description
2/27/26 - This is a very nice example of a scarce end-of-war Spreewerk zero series P.38 that was manufactured in April of 1945. This P.38 is one of about 4,700 examples of Spreewerk zero series firearms that is fitted with a Spreewerk slide as well, whereas many FN slides were interspersed during this run. This low, 4-digit serial numbered P.38 is all matching with the barrel and slide both serialized to the frame. This firearm has retained about 93% of its original finish, with most finish loss existing as thinning on the front strap. There is also some muzzle wear and light high-edge wear. Though it is not finish loss, there is a scratch on the right side of the slide, directly about the trigger well. This Spreewerk is fitted with period-correct brown bakelite grip panels. The bore is bright with a mirror finish, and very minimal signs of light use. Comes with a period-correct 'jvd' stamped magazine with a 'WaA706' acceptance mark. The hold open on the P.38 does not work with this magazine, but does function with other magazines. Functional de-cocker on this Spreewerk.
