Description
12/10/24 - For sale is an Evans 1795 pattern musket made at the Springfield Arsenal in 1797. The musket is well worn but in good condition for its age. The metal has an even layer of patina throughout and free of any active pitting or corrosion. The wood is well worn but there is a crack on the left side coming from the left side plate and another behind the middle barrel band on the right side. There are the letters "CWD" scratched into the right side of the stock. The locking plate is stamped Evans over "CP" for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The top of the barrel is stamped with a P proof and another PA stamp. The bore is dark and the crown has small dents. The action functions properly but the cocking arm has a wobble to it.Specifications
