Description
8/7/26 - This is a very nice example of a scarce AC 44 Walther P.38, with frame produced at the FN factory as evidenced by the "Eagle 140" proof. Krutzek's P.38 book estimates that only 7,300 frames were produced and used by FN on World War II original pistols. This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" proofs throughout. It has retained about 95% of its original finish with minor high edge / muzzle wear, some minor thinning and spotty patina on the front strap, and a few small spots of oxidation here and there on the slide. The frame has a beautiful plum-colored tint to it. Fitted with Otto Single Type I black plastic grips - there is an "X" scratched onto the right side. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
