Description
3/20/26 - This is an excellent example of a hard-to-find Colt M1911A1, manufactured in 1941 with proper RS inspectors mark. There were only ~35,000 Colt 1911's produced that year, which is a very low production number for Colt 1911's in general. The RS - Robert Sears inspector proof is very rare and desirable for Colt collectors. The slide is numbered and matching to the frame. Proper Colt barrel with a "G" under the lug. It comes as a rig with an "S" marked magazine and an excellent 1942-dated Boyt hoster (with leather lanyard). The gun has retained about 95% of its parkerized finish with just very minor high edge / muzzle wear and a few small dots of discoloration on the right side of the gun. Fitted with reddish plastic grips. The bore has great rifling with just some very light frosting throughout.
