SOLD - Scarce International Harvester M1 Garand

11/4/22 - This is a scarce International Harvester M1 Garand in the original CMP shipping box. It's a fairly early example, produced in early 1954. It has an actual IHC receiver, as well as all other correct characteristics. It has the proper stock with Julian date stamp on barrel and P under wrist. Other proper characteristics include the early, hard to find, trigger housing. Also the stock with correct DoD cartouche, high hump gas cylinder lock, IHC "U" bolt, IHC op rod, long fork riveted op rod spring, IHC hexagon elevation knob, IHC DRC windage knob, 7/8" front sight, trigger guard with milled hook and more. The barrel is correctly marked LMR with date of 1-54. Excellent bore, with muzzle reading of 1.5 and TE of 2.5. Only 8,000 IHC Garands were made in 1953, and this was made in January of 1954, so one of the earliest examples we've had. It comes with the original shipping box and serialized CMP paperwork.
