Description
9/3/26 - This is an example of a scarce Mauser Model 1934 issued to the Kriegsmarine around 1939. This is a 3rd variant with the "Closed Wing Eagle M" marking on the right side of the frame and an "N 5685" navy property marking on the front strap. One of about 6,000 made. This one is matching and comes as a rig with one Mauser banner magazine (not navy-marked) and an un-marked but Navy-style holster (wear around the edges with a tear in the toe). The gun itself has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is in an area on the right side of the slide, but there is also general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and some wear on the front strap. Fitted with an excellent period-correct wood grip. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
