Description
2/3/26 - This is a scarce, late-war Spreewerk P.38 that was manufactured in March of 1945. The "a" prefix was applied to 10,000 Spreewerk P.38s between February and March of 1945, ending with "a10000", which puts the production of this gun towards the very end of the preceding "a" manufacturing with a serial number of "a9659". Along with the serial number, the cog style hammer and the machining marks on the gun illustrate the increase in demand for these guns as the war comes to an end. This P.38 has retained roughly 90% of its original finish with a majority of the finish loss in one area on the left side of the slide, just before the safety lever. The gun is fitted with reddish bakelite particle grips. The bore is mint with bright, mirrored rifling. This Spreewerk also comes with an Eagle/135 marked Mauser magazine.
