Description

6/21/22 - This is a scarce Mauser K98 from 1938 that was issued as part of a Luftwaffe contract order, as indicated by the Eagle/L on the stock. The rifle is all matching and correct except for the trigger guard/assembly, which has been replaced unfortunately. Matching numbered parts throughout otherwise, including the stock, handguard, buttplate, rear sight assembly, bolt release, bolt assembly, bands, receiver and barrel. The finish on the receiver and bolt shows some thinning but is in good condition overall. The bands show thinning and freckling, and the barrel has some wear and surface scratches. Bore is minty. The stock has various handling dings and scratches but no cracks or structural issues. The listing includes an original sling, cleaning rod and muzzle cover.
