Description
3/3/21 - This is a nice example of a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military proofs. There were only 15,000 SVW 45's produced, and over 346,000 total Mauser P.38's produced during the war. They get the dual-tone appearance from a phosphate slide and frame and a blued slide. This gun has retained roughly 70% of its finish. The left and right sides of the slide have a different appearance in finish, but we don't believe it was refinish. We aren't sure what caused it. There is thinning and spotty oxidation on the front strap and right side of the slide. There are areas of wear on the muzzle, barrel, and on the high edges of the slide. It comes with excellent grips and a scarce P.38 "U" marked magazine. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling. The de-cocker is functional.Specifications
