Description
02/17/26 - This is an example of a scarce dual-tone BYF 44 Mauser P.38, issued to the German police force in 1944. Crisply stamped with the police "Eagle F" proof on the slide. Only about 1,500 of this variation were made, making it one of the least common variations. The pistol is not matching, as the barrel and locking block are numbered 820, and the serial number of the gun is numbered 4815. It has retained about 95% of its original finish. There is wear on the high edges of the slide, more concentrated on the front edges, with scattered surface scratches. Some minor thinning on the front grip strap, and some finish loss/discoloration along the top flat of the slide. Fitted with a proper set of black plastic Mauser grips which are in great condition aside from the top of the left panel, which has some surface damage at the top where it interacts with the safety. Comes with one proper "Eagle 135" Mauser magazine. Minty bore. De-cocker is functional.
