8/2/21 - This is a nice example of a dual-tone Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi police force in 1944. It gets its dual-tone appearance from a blued barrel and phosphate fame and slide. It is all matching and has the proper police "Eagle F" proof on the right side of the slide. The phosphate finishes are a little difficult to rate, but we believe it has retained about 90%. Generally, there is wear on the front strap and around the high edges of the slide. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there are areas of heavy pitting on both sides of the slide, around the muzzle, and on the trigger. Small areas of discoloration here and there on the phosphate parts. Comes with nice grips (some small scratches throughout) and a period-correct magazine. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
