2/22/26 - Here we have a Finnish contract High Power Rig with a very scare matching stock. Per Vanderlinden's book on FN pistols, with the outbreak of the Winter War, Finland requested a supply of High Powers with shoulder-stocks on a short schedule. Only ~2,400 such examples were shipped, all in serial range 11,000-15,000. This pistol is in the proper serial range. It is all matching, and has the proper proofs. The gun has an import mark on the heel of the grip. The bluing on the gun rates about 93% with finish loss occurring along high edges, a part of the front strap, two spots along the right side of the slide and frame, and around the muzzle. The red-back grips are in good condition. The left grip has a spot of indentation and smoothing in the center of the grip. The bore is bright with deep rifling. Aside from belonging to a scare contract, what makes this handgun so unique is the presence of a matching stock. The stock is in excellent condition with some dings and dents due to age. The serial number is lightly stamped close to where the stock attaches to the gun. The attached holster is in good condition with some scuffing on the front flap.
