Description

11/15/22 - This is an original example of a scarce, second variation Remington Rand 1911A1 from 1943. It has the proper 2nd variation slide with larger legend, and is in the correct serial range. It has about 70-80% of the original Dulite finish, with the most notable wear on the left side of the slide and the front strap. Correct HS barrel with good rifling but there is some minor pitting in the grooves. The original grips have smoothing on both panels. Postwar magazine marked 'COLT .45 AUTO' on the base.
