Description
2/24/26 - This is a scarce example of a Smith & Wesson Model 1905 with a 2" barrel. This revolver is all matching with the barrel and the cylinder matching the frame. This M1905 has 'U.P.D. 112' stamped on the back strap, which belongs to a police department that we were unable to confirm. This S&W has retained about 95% of its original finish, with most finish loss being located on the top strap towards the hammer, primarily on the right side. In addition to that area, there is light high-edge and muzzle wear, as well as a light turn line on the cylinder. This firearm is fitted with two period-correct, black grip panels, however the left panel appears to be filed down on the inside and the right panel is serialized to a different gun. Neither panel shows any chipping, but the right grip panel does have some cracks beginning underneath, however they are not visible when the grip is fastened to the frame. The bore is bright with mirrored rifling, but shows signs of light use in the channels. Mechanically sound with proper lock-up and timing.
