Description
5/1/26 - This is an absolutely stunning example of a Colt Python revolver from 1967. The Colt Python with a 2.5-inch barrel is one of the most desirable variants of Colt’s premium .357 Magnum revolver, introduced in the 1960s as a compact, carry-friendly version of the classic Python. It retains the same hand-fitted action, ventilated rib, and full underlug barrel, but with a distinctive snub-nose profile that makes it especially appealing to collectors. Produced in smaller numbers than the more common 4" and 6" models, and often found in high-polish Royal Blue or nickel finishes, the 2.5" Python commands strong demand today. This one is all matching and comes with its original box, papers, a spare set of real antler grips, and a Colt factory letter. According to the letter, this gun was shipped with a 2.5" barrel to Ray's Hardware & Sporting Goods in Dallas, TX on June 30, 1967. It is in stunning, like-new condition. There is barely even a hint of roll mark on the cylinder and appears to be in un-fired or near-un-fired condition. Mint bore. Fitted with mint checkered wood grips.
