Description
9/29/25 - For sale is a Type 02/45 Rifle that was assembled using Type 35 receivers in storage. These rifles were a last ditch assembly of leftover parts towards the end of the war. Many times, the Japanese would use leftover Type 38 barrels and even machine gun barrels. The rifle retains a bulk of its original blued finish, but the barrel, rear sight base, and bands have been touched up with cold blue. The stock is in mostly good shape, but there are two cracks at the tang on the wrist. The bore is bright with good rifling. The receiver retains the Imperial Mum, and is stamped with "35 year Type". There is no serial number on the side, as is common with these rifles. The bolt is an original type 35 and is stamped with the number 1915.
