Description

9/2/26 - This is a very nice example of a scarce Walther Model 1 manufactured in about 1913-14. This is a 2nd variation gun. It is often referred to as the "two button" variation because of its second push button on the right side of the frame. There were only about 30,000 of these guns made. This one is all matching and has the proper "Crown N" commercial proofs. It has retained about 92-93% of its original finish. There is general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and some small scratches and marks here and there. Fitted with period-correct black hard rubber grips - the left side has a couple of chips and a repaired hairline crack. Comes with a nickel-plated magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout. The magazine release spring is broken. So the magazine catch works only when operating manually.
