Description
7/13/26 - This is a nice example of a Walther PP sold in the commercial market in 1938. It is all matching and has the proper "Crown N" proofs. This one is scarce because it has a 5-digit serial number. The known serial number range is 98895p through 99997p. There are estimated only 1k pistols made with a 5 digit serial number during WW2. This one has retained about 90% of its original bluing. The wear is concentrated around the muzzle and on the grip straps (where there is also some dulling/light brown patina). Fitted with period-correct black bakelite grips and comes with a proper Walther banner-only magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
