Description

3/1/22 - This is an interesting pair of Smith & Wesson Military & Police Model of 1905 Fourth Change revolvers that were part of the same shipment in 1942, and remain together today. They are accompanied by S&W factory letters, which even take note of it being unusual to see two revolvers still together that were also shipped together. These were sent to the Stewart-Warner Corporation for the plant security guards, as part of the United States Defense Supply Commission Contract. Serial 996156 is in excellent condition with little wear, mostly on the back of the grip frame. Serial 997858 shows more wear and patina, and the left grip panel has notable chips/dings. Both are in good working order and have excellent bores.
