Description
2/25/25 - This is an excellent example of an early Smith & Wesson .32-20 Hand Ejector Model 1905 Target from the 4th Change. This is an all-matching revolver with the barrel, cylinder, yoke, and star extractor all matching to the frame. This S&W has retained about 96% of its original finish with most of the finish loss existing as a scratch on the bottom of the ejector shroud, some small dents on the back strap, and a few small scratches on the left of the barrel. Other than that, there is light muzzle wear, hints of high-edge wear, and a hint of a turn line on the cylinder. The fitted wood grips are in great shape, but are not believed to be original to the gun as 4th Change grip panels were not fitted with the S&W medallion. There are no signs of chips or cracks. The bore is bright with a beautiful mirror finish and very little signs of light use. The 6" barrel is fitted with a target-style adjustable rear sight and an aftermarket "W. F. Sheard" target front sight. Mechanically sound with proper lock-up and timing.
