Description
3/17/16 - This is an example of a Smith & Wesson Model 1905 Target Model manufactured in 1914. The gun's serial number has it falling within the 3rd change range. The revolver is all matching. This S&W has retained roughly 85-90% of its original finish with most of the finish loss coming from muzzle wear, the grip straps, spotty oxidation of both sides of the frame, and finish loss on the ejector rod. The cylinder has a visible roll mark and some wear also. There is nice case hardening over the hammer and trigger. The grips are original and correct for a 3rd change Model 1905. There are no signs of chips or cracks, but the S&W medallions are dull. The bore is bright with a nice mirror finish. The barrel is 6" long.
