2/28/26 - This is an original Smith & Wesson Model 1917 revolver that was manufactured in February of 1918 and issued to the US military. There is a military inspector proof on the top left part of the frame by the hammer and a UNITED STATES PROPERTY mark on the underside of the barrel. The bluing rates about 85%. There is wear by the muzzle, along both sides of the barrel, on the high edges, on top of the frame, and on both grip straps. Matching numbers throughout, including frame, barrel and right grip panel. Grips are in excellent original condition. Timing and lockup are excellent.
