Description
6/11/26 - This is a Smith & Wesson Model 1917 issued to the US military during WW1. It is all matching, "United States Property" marked, and has the proper military acceptance proof. The gun has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original high polish bluing. There is wear along the left side of the barrel, muzzle wear, dulling and minor thinning on the grip straps, a small spot of oxidation and pitting on the left side of the frame where it meets the barrel, and some light spotty oxidation and a few light scratches on both sides of the frame. Fitted with wood grips (un-numbered). Very nice bore with strong rifling, just some minor fouling in the grooves.
