8/12/26 - This is a Smith & Wesson Model 38-2 Airweight Bodyguard, a compact double-action revolver chambered in .38 Special. The Model 38 is part of Smith & Wesson’s classic J-frame lineup and features the distinctive shrouded hammer, which protects the hammer from snagging while still allowing it to be manually cocked for single-action fire. Built with a lightweight aluminum-alloy frame and steel barrel and cylinder, the Model 38 was designed as a highly portable concealed-carry revolver. This one has retained nearly all of its finish with just the slightest hints of high edge wear and a few tiny marks on the back strap. Mint bore. Fitted with excellent checkered wood grips.
