Description
7/16/26 - This is a Smith and Wesson Model No. 3 top break revolver from the late 1800's. Chambered in .44 S&W. The top of the barrel reads "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS. U.S.A.". There is no "Russian Model" marking. All matching. Overall, it is in fair condition for its age with patina and spotty oxidation throughout. Some areas of light rusting, mostly along the barrel. Fitted with period-correct hard rubber grips - barely-visible and repaired hairline crack on the left side. The bore has decent rifling but shows noticeable pitting throughout. The gun is mostly functional, the but hammer does not go into a half-cock position.
