Description
8/14/26 - This is a Smith & Wesson Model 1917 issued to the US military during WW1. It is all matching, "United States Property" marked, and has the proper military acceptance proof. The gun has retained about 90% of its original high polish bluing. There is general high edge wear / muzzle wear, some light flaking in the finish on the top strap, minor spotty wear on the back strap, areas of wear along the sides of the barrel, and a few tiny surface scratches here and there. There are also areas of oxidation along both sides of the barrel and on the underside of the trigger guard. Fitted with period-correct wood grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is light pin-pricking throughout.
