Description
7/14/26 - This is a Smith & Wesson Victory model revolver issued to the US Navy during WW2, as evidenced by the marking on the top strap. The “SV” prefix was introduced to indicate the addition of an improved hammer block safety system. It is all matching and has a military "P" acceptance proof. There is a name noticeably scratched into the back strap that appears to read "Walter Seavy". It comes as a rig with a nice 1943-dated USN marked shoulder holster. The gun itself has retained roughly 80% of its finish with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and areas of noticeable finish loss along the barrel and on the grip straps. Some spots of oxidation here and there. The front sight is painted red. Fitted with period-correct wood grips. The right side is numbered and mismatched, and there is noticeable bruising on both sides. Minty bore.
