The rifle has a worn blued finish with some areas retaining its bluing while others are wearing down to bare metal. The stock had been sanded heavily and a shiny finish applied. The bore has bright and strong rifling. There is a slight dulling towards the muzzle. The rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, bolt, and rear sight. The nose cap is mismatched. Top of the receiver ring is stamped "Made in England".
