SOLD - 1944 Dated K98 Bayonet with Frog and Matched Scabbard

2/17/26- For sale is a very nice 1944 dated K98 bayonet with a frog and matched scabbard. The blade maintains nearly all of its original bluing, with only light scabbard wear on the tip of the blade. There are no spots of patina or damage to the blade. The blade is marked "44.cul" which indicates production by Ernst Pack & Söhne in 1944. The other side of the blade is serialized 7756. The grips are a nice brown Bakelite with no chips or cracks. The very edge of the pommel has a small WaffenAmt eagle. The metal scabbard has light wear but maintains most of the original finish with no dents or serious damage. The mouth of the scabbard is stamped "44.cul" and 7756, indicating a matched bayonet and scabbard. The frog is unmarked or the marking has worn away over time. The rivets hold the attachment flap of the frog in place but the stitching is poor on the part of the frog where the bayonet attaches. The solid body construction stitching of the frog is intact. Overall in excellent condition.
